Teaching Artist

Residencies

Ready to inspire and shape the artists and community leaders of tomorrow?

The Teaching Artist Residency program combines intensive teaching with cultural immersion to bring arts education to underserved communities and make a lasting impact on young lives.

In this unique and immersive experience, our teaching artists become more than instructors; they become mentors, cultural explorers, and an inspiring force behind young, raw talent. We carefully select teaching artists and embed them within underserved communities and classrooms with little to no access to arts programming — where they form connections, embrace local culture, and share their exceptional talents and skills.

As a teaching artist, you won't just lead a workshop in acting, directing, or playwriting; you'll be a catalyst for transformation. You'll bring the magic of theatre to communities rich in young talent and enthusiasm but lacking in resources.

Our partner schools and communities eagerly welcome your expertise. By participating in this program, you become a vital aid and a remarkable addition to our partners' efforts in providing a meaningful arts education. Your residency is not only an opportunity for personal and professional growth but a chance to leave an indelible mark on the lives of young people. You'll inspire them to become not only artists but future community leaders.

Sign up today and together, let's strengthen and lift the voices of tomorrow's artists and community leaders.

Upcoming Residency:

March 22 - April 2, 2024

Prepare for an extraordinary residency in the Galápagos Islands as we head to the pristine and least inhabited island of Floreana within Ecuador's renowned Galápagos archipelago.

While these islands are celebrated for their wildlife, the human communities face many challenges, especially in providing an arts education. In partnership with the local government, our one-week intensive residency will help to fill that void. Join our team of dedicated theatre artists to inspire local students through intense theatre training. This residency culminates in a celebratory performance, showcasing the students' work for their family and community. Be part of a unique transformation, leaving a lasting impact on the island community. Don't miss the chance to make a difference in this breathtaking and remote part of the world. Join us in the Galápagos Islands for this unique Teaching Artist Residency.
