ACTion
Expeditions
ACTion is designed for talented actors who have a strong desire to engage with foreign cultures, explore devised theatre, and make a positive impact in the lives of disenfranchised youth. This project seamlessly brings together the worlds of experiential travel, community service, and theatre making -- on a 40 day expedition abroad which culminates in a series of performances, as part of ACTion FEST.
SITE-LINES
Experience
SITE-LINES teams theatre-makers with partner communities to create cross-cultural, theatrical events. For this project, carefully selected theatre-makers are embedded into specific communities in need. There, they engage with the culture, make new friends, connect with the natural landscape, learn from local master artists, better understand local challenges, and collaboratively develop an outdoor theatrical experience for the greater community. For theatre-makers (directors, designers, writers, performance artists, actors), this is an opportunity to put your skills to the test, expand as an individual and storyteller, and make a lasting impact on the lives of a special community facing serious challenges.
Teaching Artist
Residencies
The Teaching Artist Residency is a program of intense teaching and cultural immersion. Our carefully selected teaching artists are embedded into communities and classrooms in need. There they will make new friends, engage with the culture, and bring their own unique talents and skill sets to the classroom. Our teaching artists will lead courses in acting, directing, playwriting, and more. Each residency is an opportunity to grow as a teaching artist and make a lasting impact on the lives of young people -- and their futures as artists and community leaders!
