In 2007 we teamed up with Forgotten Voices International, a non-profit organization that is doing great work in the region, empowering children who are victims of AIDS. Our team of professional theatre makers developed short pieces with many of these young people all across the country of Zimbabwe. Then we stitched these shorts together to create a full length play entitled, "Voices from Zimbabwe," which has already performed in several select cities across the North East of the United States. |

This project has been put on hold due to the situation in Zimbabwe. But perhaps as early as the fall of 2009, we hope to taking three talented playwrights on a dramatic adventure across Zimbabwe. This will be a journey of discovery and creativity as we explore this unique country and its current situation. The playwrights will write a play entitled "III acts" informed by their experiences. If all goes well this play could be performed at HIFA as early as the spring of 2010. |

Also in the fall of 2009, we hope to formally assemble the Bulawayo Young Company. A theatre company which will be based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and comprised of local teenagers. We will work in collaboration with Amakhosi Theatre to mold these talented young people into skilled theatre makers through professional caliber workshops, rehearsals, and performances. And if all goes to plan, in the spring of 2010 Dramatic Adventure Theatre will take the Bulawayo Young Company to perform "III acts" at HIFA and with any luck in NYC as well. Our US based team will also perform, both in NYC and HIFA, in a seperate piece that is still yet to be determined. |
