Zoë Reiniger is an actor, educator, activist and event coordinator living in Los Angeles, where she was born and raised. She received her BA in Acting and Theatre Education from Emerson College in Boston. She spent a summer in Oxford, England, studying Shakespeare with the British American Drama Academy, and has trained at the Second City Training Center/LA. Her credits as an actress include JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, AS YOU LIKE IT, MEASURE FOR MEASURE, THREE SISTERS, IPHIGENIA AT AULIS and ONCE UPON A MATTRESS. She is a licensed K-12 drama teacher, and completed her student teaching at Wellesley High School in Wellesley, MA, during which time her students won first place at the statewide Massachusetts High School Drama Competition. In Los Angeles, she worked for Film Independent, a non-profit film organization, in production for the Los Angeles Film Festival and the Independent Spirit Awards. Zoë has been an activist since high school, when she was involved with the National Conference for Community & Justice/LA, working with other LA-area youth on issues of human relations, diversity, and justice. She has been active in the LGBT community, both in Massachusetts with MassEquality/Freedom to Marry Coalition, and in California on the No on Prop 8 campaign and with the LA Gay & Lesbian Center's Vote for Equality program. She is so excited to be a part of ACTion: Ecuador and combine her love of performing, teaching, travel and working with diverse communities.
