Jesse Baxter founded Dramatic Adventure Theatre in an attempt to combine his passions for theatre, cross-cultural exchange, experiential travel and community service.  Since the beginning, Baxter has served as DAT's artistic director and has been intimately involved with all productions. In 2009 and 2010, he produced ACTion: Ecuador which brought 100 theatre artists to communities across Ecuador. Baxter studied at Temple University in Philadelphia, Gloucestershire University in England, the Gaiety School of Acting in Ireland, and at the SITIcompany (viewpoints, suzuki, and composition techniques under Anne Bogart) in NYC. Baxter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Messiah College, where he studied both acting & directing. He was honored to return to his alma mater as the Alumni Speaker of the 2010 Centennial Gala and Arts Center groundbreaking. Although quite busy as Artistic Director, Baxter manages to find time to act, direct, teach and guest lecture as a freelance theatre artist in NYC.

Jesse Baxter has explored much of this world. To date, he has explored 44 of the United States, Austria, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Czech, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador including the Galapagos, England, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Kenya, the Navajo Nation, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Tanzania including Zanzibar, and Zimbabwe.
