Elizabeth McKinney

Location:
St.Louis, MO
Email:

Originally from Saint Louis, Missouri, Elizabeth attends Indiana University at Bloomington and is now pursuing bachelor degrees in both Theatre and English (having recently switched from Biochemistry and Theatre). Relatively new to acting, Elizabeth has worked primarily backstage, helping with some student-run productions and with two mainstage shows since her arrival at IU, "Jimmy Cory" and "Suessical: The Musical." Most recently, she has appeared in two newly-written plays, "It's a Wonderful Lie" (Fall 2008) and "Dog" (Spring 2009). She is unsure at this point whether she will continue pursuing stage work or set design during her stay at IU, having fallen in love with both. Outside of the theatre, Elizabeth is involved in the Music School and currently sings with the Contemporary Vocal Ensemble, which specializes in recently-written, atonal music. She founded an a capella group (The Flatts) three years ago and continues to run it today. She also works within her living community as a student government representative and writes for dorm-wide, college-wide, and community-wide literary magazines in Bloomington. Elizabeth has tutored middle school students in english and math over the past four summers and is subsequently very excited at the prospect of working with children during her stay in Ecuador. Post-graduation (2011), she hopes to either obtain a BSN in pediatric nursing or go to graudate school in english or theatre so that she might pursue teaching.
