Jennifer Robideau is inspired by travelers, actors, volunteers, and teachers, and so it is no surprise why DAT is an organization she had to meet and work with. Before she left Hawaii, she played in three Hawaii Shakespeare festivals and earned her MA in English from UH Manoa, whetting her appetite to explore the wide world, study, act, and teach. Her desire to serve came into full swing while training as an actor at Drama Studio London; there, she was inspired by her mentor Sue Weston whose efforts with the Abhina Foundation rejuvenated theatre with Sri Lankans after the tsunami disaster in 2004. In the last four years, Jennifer has juggled teaching at Seton Hall University, fund-raising for DAT, acting and teaching for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and organizing charitable donations for S Factor, a dance studio that seeks to empower women through movement. In 2009 she traveled as an actor with DAT to The Galapagos, and in 2010 she completed the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu for fun. She currently works out of Hawaii, where she is a lecturer in literature and drama at Leeward Community College.
