In 2007 we teamed up with Forgotten Voices International, a non-profit organization that is doing great work in the region, empowering children who are victims of AIDS. Our team of professional theatre makers developed short pieces with many of these young people all across the country of Zimbabwe. Then we stitched these shorts together to create a full length play entitled, "Voices from Zimbabwe," which performed in several select cities. |

We are currently looking for a junior high or high school drama club that would like to perform this piece as a fundraiser event in the spring of 2010. All proceeds will benefit the Bulawayo Young Company. We will work with this drama club, sharpening their playwriting and acting skills, in an effort to assist the students as they develop their own pieces to send to Zimbabwe.

In the fall of 2010, we will be taking three talented and courageous playwrights on a dramatic adventure across Zimbabwe. This will be a journey of discovery and creativity as we explore this unique country, the crisis it's in, and the beauty it possesses. The playwright's will lead playwrighting workshops and will collaborate on a play entitled "III acts" informed by their experiences.

We recently traveled with a team of theatre artists to empower the voices of children in a place where their voices are often forgotten; Zimbabwe. DAT developed a full-length play through many workshops with locals and in collaboration with Amkhosi Theatre. This is a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road with Dramatic Adventure Theatre!

Also in the spring of 2010, we hope to formally assemble the Bulawayo Young Company. A theatre company which will be based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and comprised of local teenagers. |

In the summer of 2010 we are taking 100 emerging theatre artists to Ecuador. They will spend 24 days exploring the country, discovering the culture, sharing their skills, and developing short plays about their experience. |
