In 2007 we teamed up with Forgotten Voices International, a non-profit organization that is doing great work in the region, empowering children who are victims of AIDS. Our team of professional theatre makers developed short pieces with many of these young people all across the country of Zimbabwe. Then we stitched these shorts together to create a full length play entitled, "Voices from Zimbabwe," which has already performed in several select cities and will be coming soon to New York City along with The Ecuador Project for an exclusive one night event in late June.

In the spring of 2008, we will be taking a team of talented artists on an expedition to Ecuador, while there our team will develop an original piece of theatre to be performed in New York City back to back with "Voices from Zimbabwe" during an exclusive one night event in late June. This will be our first project to Ecuador, so we are looking for a special team that will be prepared to adapt to the unexpected and unknown elements that we will inevitably come across. This will prove to be a challenging trip full of creative and personal discoveries! For mor information, please click here.

We recently traveled with a team of theatre artists to empower the voices of children in a place where their voices are often forgotten; Zimbabwe. DAT developed a full-length play through many workshops with locals and in collaboration with Amkhosi Theatre. This is a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road with Dramatic Adventure Theatre!

In the fall of 2008, we will be taking three talented playwrights on a dramatic adventure across Zimbabwe. This will be a journey of discovery and creativity as we explore this unique country and build upon our previous experiences. The playwrights will write a play entitled "III acts" informed by their experiences. If all goes well this play will be performed at HIFA in the spring of 2009.

Also in the fall of 2008, we hope to formally assemble the Bulawayo Young Company. A theatre company which will be based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and comprised of local teenagers. We will work in collaboration with Amakhosi Theatre to mold these talented young people into skilled theatre makers through professional caliber workshops, rehearsals, and performances.
