The following is a list of the additional prerequisites, commitments and responsibilities, and benefits of being a core company member with Dramatic Adventure Theatre. The lists are in no particular order and actual positions may vary slightly, but this will give you a good idea of what we're looking for in a core company member.

1.) Must be an active company member
2.) Must have traveled with Dramatic Adventure Theatre on a minimum of two projects (in two different countries OR in two different capacities, one of which must have been in a position of leadership)
3.) Must be actively pursuing or maintaining a second language
4.) Must maintain a history of going above and beyond the call of duty with DAT, both during a project and in-between projects
5.) Must write at least one grant for Dramatic Adventure Theatre or raise funds for at least one project
6.) Must be comfortable (or comfortable faking it) in most environments. From camping to home stays to city hostels to luxurious lodges. From dirty to clean, dark to bright, cold to hot, rough to luxurious, foreign to familiar, and everything in-between.
7.) Must be artistically solid and always willing to grow
8.) Must WANT to be a core company member, it's a lifestyle choice

| COMMITMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES |

1.) Work: A commitment to taking on ongoing monthly tasks (a mix of admin., artistic, & teaching work)
NOTE: Core company members should prepare for, attend/ participate in the vast majority of events throughout the year. Actual work schedules will be negotiated on a case by case basis. Work loads will flux, but in general will be heavier than the standard company member and much heavier than a volunteer's work load.
2.) Time: Negotiated to work around individual’s work schedule (always 24/7 while abroad) Ideally and eventually a core company member position is a salaried position.
3.) Abroad: Travel on a min. of one project/ year
4.) Language: Vow to learn two languages, a "major" & a "minor" (outside of one’s native tongue)
NOTE: Not actively required until this position is salaried
5.) Company Training: Theatrical technique, master classes & workshops, travel related training, etc.
NOTE: Not actively required until this position is salaried
6.) Leadership: Take on leadership roles within the company (moving autonomously)
7.) Board Member: Attend and prepare for all board meetings and participate in the yearly retreat
8.) Planning: Take on organizational roles in the preparation of all projects
9.) Fundraising: Write grants, find sponsors, prepare fundraisers
10.) Recruitment: All core company members will recruit new company members, the core will also select new core candidates and make yearly decisions on what it means to be a core company member
