Each cast will follow a similar route on this Dramatic Adventure. However, you are given the opportunity to choose your own adventure during the second week of this journey. NOTE: We will do our best to accommodate your first choice, but there are many factors that go into creating each cast.

The Commitment Time and money. MONEY – The cost of each trip is determined by your second week choice. Esmeraldas costs $3200, La Selva costs $3600, and Galapagos costs $3800. These will be split up into payments. NOTE: these prices include essentially everything except for souvenir money. Airfare, transportation, travelers insurance, lodging, food, excursions, and more are all covered in this price. If you do a little research, you will find that this is significantly cheaper than anything else out there and includes much more. Our goal is to make this a financial reality for you. TIME – Each trip is 24 days long and all participants are required to perform in the NYC showcase, a 10 day commitment. You will be selected to travel in one of these two groups: Group 1: June 1 - June 24 (Traveling to Esmeraldas, La Selva, & Galapagos) Group 2: June 11- July 4 (Traveling to Esmeraldas, La Selva, & Galapagos) Group 3: June 27- July 20 (Traveling to Esmeraldas & La Selva) Group 4: July 7- July 30 (Traveling to Esmeraldas & La Selva) **Please note that you are also committing to rehearsals/performances in New York City from July 31 - Aug. 10

The NYC portion of this project is a required activity for all participants of ACTion: Ecuador. During the NYC portion, all artists will be responsible for finding their own lodging and transportation, purchasing their own food, making sure that they are at all rehearsals and performances on time, purchasing their own flight/train/bus/rental car home, and whatever other expenses that they may incur while in the city.

EXPECTATIONS FOR ACTion ARTISTS DAT is looking for individuals that can handle the rigors of traveling on such an intense trip. As there will undoubtedly be times when things will get uncomfortable, when things will get cold, when things will get hot, when the team will be packed into a crowded bus for hours on a potholed hell of a road sitting on top of luggage with necks tweaked and a couple of chickens loose or perhaps the team will have to walk with their packs for hours because a tire went flat, etc. DAT needs people that can handle these unpredictable situations as they arise and who will quickly adapt to them, all the while maintaining a good attitude and an even better sense of humor about it all. It can be hard to remember in the moment, but it's often these "trials" that become the best memories from the trip. DAT also needs people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty as the team will be doing some physical labor. Of course, DAT needs a diverse group of people who are talented artists with a gift for collaboration and a gift for creating new works of theatre. This is a base quality that all our travelers must possess. Above all, DAT's artists must love engaging with people and especially kids… because you will be doing a lot of that!!

The application fee is waived for all professional artists. However, there is a non-refundable late application fee of $100 for any applications received after 3/5/2010. March 15th is the final deadline for all applications. No applications will be accepted for ACTion: Ecuador 2010 after 3/15/2010.
